Weekend Reading

A homemade life Laduree

  • After seeing these incredible and impressive hotels I want to hop on a plane to Italy (I was planning to do that anyway, to escape the cold winter days for a while..)
  • I love the Beckhams, especially Victoria Beckham. Somehow – even when she’s travelling from one place to another – she always looks so effortlessly chic and sophisticated. Actually, all of the Beckhams do. That is probably why Romeo Beckham is the new face of Burberry’s Christmas Campaign. He was hand-picked by the British label’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey himself. The new campaign film is set against a theatrical London backdrop. The story captures a young boy who delivers the gift of love to a young couple, who take him on a journey of romance and festive enchantment through the lovely streets of London, and celebrates gifting as the ultimate symbol of a connection between people. I adore this cute little love story and I cannot wait until it’s that time of year again.
  • I work from home quite often and although it may seem ideal – people tend to think you sit on the couch in your pajamas all day – it can be terrible as well. If you find yourself working from home, Apartment Therapy shares a few lovely tips for staying productive and keeping your sanity.
  • Do you enjoy a glass of champagne? Yes, me too. That’s why I’m so excited that the holidays are coming. After all, December is the perfect time to learn how to drink champagne like an expert. Harper’s Bazaar shares ten tips to drinking champagne like a bubbly enthusiast. Cheers!
  • I’m in love with this lovely little travel story, The Art of Escape, written and photographed by Shini Park, the face behind Park&Cube, in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. The Art of Escape is about finding an enabler, whether it be an object or person. It’s her hope that this story will inspire others to find their own enabler and experience their own little escape. Hop on over to her incredible blog and enjoy the amazing English countryside.
  • I’m in my 20s and so far, it’s been quite challenging and exciting at the same time. The lovely Michelle Phan shares twenty things you’ll learn by the end of your 20s that will definitely make you a better person. Thanks for sharing this incredible and insightful blog post!
  • I love to take photographs when I’m travelling but sometimes it’s quite complicated to take the perfect photo (way too many people, terrible lighting) but Lloyd and Yaya share ten travel photography tips you have probably never considered.
